Suzuki backs MBM reader's round-Britain bid
Suzuki has signed up as a sponsor of MBM reader Paul Churchley's attempt to navigate round Britain in his 21ft Jeanneau Merry Fisher 625.
Paul, 48, is undertaking the epic solo voyage to raise money for the RNLI's 'Train one, save many' campaign, and is hoping to set off from Plymouth in late May or June, depending on the weather.
Paul already has a 115hp Suzuki outboard on his boat, so the company supplied him with a backup 6hp engine after reading about Paul's plan in March's MBM.
Gareth Lumsdaine, sales and marketing manager at Suzuki, said: "This is a challenging trip that Paul is embarking on and we were only too pleased to offer him our support. Quite literally, Suzuki is behind Paul all the way!"
Paul expects the trip to take between 60 and 90 days, and will be making 26 stops along the way.
