Huge boat sales open week on Thames
Competing boat dealers on the Thames are joining forces in May in an unprecedented show of unity to stage an 'open week', where the public will be able to see hundreds of new and used craft on the water.
From 11-18 May, dealers from Reading to Shepperton will be displaying "boats to suit all budgets and all requirements, from small cabin cruisers and sportsboats to luxury sea-going motoryachts; from narrowboats and dayboats to RIBs and trailerboats", the statement announcing the news said.
And to entice potential boatowners, the dealers will be offering free insurance on any motorboat sold, subject to conditions. To claim your free insurance voucher, head to this website after 21 April, when the details of the event and insurance offer will go live.
Mark Pearce, chairman of the Thames Boating Trade Association, told MBM: "This week is all about offering help and advice to new and existing boaters. With so many dealers involved, there will literally be hundreds of boats of all types and prices for people to view."
