The fleet travel downstream and out of the mouth of the River Seine to Le Havre
Restful in Rouen
There was a well-deserved lie-in for crews this morning and they had a full day to explore the historical town of Rouen.
Rouen is a bustling city with a skyline of ornate cathedral spires. It’s said that Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake here. Unfortunately most of the town was flattened during the war
A briefing was held on the quayside regarding the move to Le Havre tomorrow. The plan is to set out at 0700 and carry the remaining tide downstream. It will be approximately a 6-hour passage to Le Havre with the boats arriving early afternoon at around 1300.
Tonight, the MBM team organised a group barbecue which was held on the quay. It was great chance for crews to mingle and soak up the surroundings with delicious food.
The MBM Cruising Club team would like to thank Mr Beuzelin and his family who run the Halte Plaisance on Ile Lacroix. They have made us all very welcome.
