Seeing is enjoying
Designers have finally realised that we quite like to see out when aboard a boat. From the excellent view delivered by Sunseeker's Manhattan 52 and 86 Yacht to the Jeanneau 38's cockpit design, finally boat owners get a chance to see the water world around them. Glass is really starting to deliver on its design promise. The Ferretti 510 is covered in the stuff while the scale model of the new C65 on the Sessa stand promises much. All this extra glass not only lets us see out but opens up cabins and lets interiors breath. You read it here first, 2008 is the year when we started to see the, natural, light.
