Day 9 - West Country

50° 21'.343 N 003° 34'.395 W

It was an early start for the MBM team, the alarm went off at 0630hrs. Claire and Ray aboard Time Flies departed at 0700hrs to access the sea conditions in Lyme Bay. At 0830 hrs the RIB had made good progress, achieving 25 knots in comfort and reported the fleet was good to go to Dartmouth.

The first boat to slip was Nimbus 280 Sea Breeze at 0830hrs and the last to depart Poole was Windy Mistral Tally Ho at 1000hrs. Meanwhile Time Flies had arrived in Dartmouth and was making preparations for the fleet.

The fleet gradually descended on Dartmouth, fuelled and assembled on the deep-water moorings in the harbour.

An impromptu pontoon party was held at 1830hrs where crews compared notes on the passage and revelled in the good weather, fine wine and plenty of nibbles.

We plan to spend two nights in Dartmouth, with a view of moving further west on Tuesday.

Out thanks to the Harbour team at Dartmouth for their help in securing moorings for the fleet at the last minute.
